Nanoemulsified Colorado Hemp Oil
1 oz (30 mL) spray bottle
Quicksilver Scientific brings you a standardized, highly bioavailable form of cannabidiol (CBD), the non-psychogenic yet highly physiologically active compound derived from the hemp plant, Cannabis sativa. Cannabinoids, the family of compounds found in C. sativa, have been shown to have a broad influence on the body, impacting expression of more than 1000 genes. Among these genes, they have been shown to upregulate expression of cellular antioxidant defenses through pathways including Nrf2, a primary regulator of cellular antioxidant production, and downregulate that of many inflammatory signaling molecules.1
Cannabinoid receptors, namely CB1 and CB2, exist widely in the body, being highly expressed in the hippocampus and central nervous system (CNS), the immune system, and peripheral nervous system.2 Cannabinoid receptors are strongly stimulated by the endogenous compounds 2-arachidonoylglycerol and anandamide, the later whose name is taken from the Sanskrit word ananda, meaning joy or bliss.3 The immune system and nervous system produce endogenous cannabinoids which activate the CB1 and CB2 receptors.4 When taken orally, cannabinoids have an effect of increasing levels of the endogenous endocannabinoids and also bind these receptors.
Cannabinoids may act as neuroprotective antioxidants, with studies demonstrating an effect superior to alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E) and ascorbate (vitamin C) in preventing glutamate toxicity.* 5 Cannabinoids support a balanced mood and neurotransmitter balance, as well as modulate CNS excitability and the immune system response.* 4,6,7 They also support musculoskeletal system function and joint health.* 8,9
Nanoemulsified Colorado Hemp Oil brings you a board spectrum of non-psychoactive cannabinoids, offering wide array of support for normal function and physiology. The nanoemulsified format improves bioavailability with higher and faster absorption rates than other CBD supplements, achieving plasma levels more than 5 times that of other oral liquids. The nanoemulsified particles enable delivery of biologically active substances directly to circulation as well as improved cellular delivery.
Quicksilver's Delivery Systems™ brings the power of intravenous therapy into convenient oral delivery.* .* Our Quicksilver Delivery Systems™ improve upon liposomal and emulsification technology with smaller, more stable particles made from the highest-grade ingredients available. In addition to exceptional absorption rates, these very small liposomal and nanoemulsified particles enhance lymphatic circulation of nutrients and intracellular delivery.10,11 The phospholipids, inherent in the liposomal and nanoemulsified formats, nourish cell membranes, promoting proper function for the absorption of nutrients and the excretion of cellular waste products and toxins.* 12

1) Q: Is our Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil USDA certified organic?
A: No. To be clear, organic certification programs for hemp oil do not exist within the USDA. Our hemp extract undergoes rigorous testing for microbes, metals, pesticides, herbicidal residues and residual solvents once received in our laboratory. Potency, metals, and microbes are again measured in our final product, Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil.
2) Q: Is our Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil THC free?
A: No. Our Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil is well below the federal THC limit of .3% THC, generally measuring < 0.01% THC. We analyze levels of all Cannabinoids in the hemp extract and Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil.
3) Q: What sets Quicksilver Scientific’s Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil apart from all other hemp oils on the market?
A: Increased absorption and bioavailability. In a study comparing a 5mg dose of Quicksilver Scientific’s Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil to a 10mg dose of pharmaceutical synthetic cannabidiol (CBD), the Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil showed a 5.5-fold increased bioavailability over the leading pharmaceutical.
4) Q: Where do we source our hemp extract?
A: We source our hemp extracts from Colorado. These hemp sources specifically cultivated for consumer use and comply with federal regulation for distribution in the US and abroad.
5) Q: With the December 14th 2016 ruling by the DEA, can we sell our Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil in every state?
A: We believe so. In a statement to the International Business Times, Robert Hoban, a Colorado cannabis attorney and adjunct professor of law at the University of Denver said, “This action is beyond the DEA’s authority. The DEA can only carry out the law, they cannot create it. Here, they’re purporting to create an entirely new category called ‘marijuana extracts,’ and by doing so wrest control over all cannabinoids. They want to call all cannabinoids illegal. But they don’t have the authority to do that.”
After consulting their legal advisory team, the Hemp Industry Association has also chimed in, stating, "There is general agreement that yesterday's ruling did not change the status of CBD." The HIA noted the following important facts:
Sec. 7606 of the Agricultural Farm Act 2014 hemp is defined as distinct from marijuana and does not treat it as a controlled substance.
HIA strongly disagrees with the DEA position and is ready to take action to defend should the DEA take any action to block the production, processing or sale of hemp under Sec. 7606
The Final Rule published on December 14th was not a scheduling action but rather an administrative action related to record keeping for identification of substances on registration forms.
Considering this, we see no imminent danger to your ability to market and sell Quicksilver Scientific’s Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil throughout the 50 United States. We are working with the top law firm consultants in the hemp industry and we will continue passing on all relevant information to keep you abreast on the DEA claims.
6) Q: Is our Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil an isolate or broad spectrum?
A: Our Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil is broad spectrum, utilizing the multiple health benefits from the variety of cannabinoids found in whole plant extracts.
7) Q: What is the concentration of our Phytocannabinoid diols in the Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil?
A: In a single serving of 2ml (4 pumps) from the bottle of Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil there is 12 mg of Phytocannabinoid diols.
8) Q: What are Phytocannabinoid diols?
A: Phytocannabinoid diols are chemical compounds containing two hydroxy groups originating from the Cannabis plant. Cannabidiol (CBD), Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabidiolic Acid (CBDA) and Cannabidivarin (CBDV) are the most abundant diols in our Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil, with CBD representing ~90% of the Phytocannabinoid diols.
9) Q: What refinement process is used to create the hemp extract from the hemp plant?
A: Super critical (high pressure) CO2 extraction process. There are no chemicals used in this process.
10) Q: What is the purpose of Phosphatidylcholine?
A: Phosphatidylcholine, PC, is the emulsifier or encapsulating agent used to stabilize and enhance absorption of the small oil droplets. PC is a highly beneficial nutrient that is source of choline for cell membranes, aiding in liver and brain function.
11) Q: Is the hemp extract and Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil tested for microbes and metal impurities?
A: Yes, all the incoming hemp extract is tested for microbes, metals, pesticides, herbicidal residues and residual solvents. Metals, microbes, and potency testing is then repeated on the final product, Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil.
12) Q: Will I fail a drug screening from taking Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil?
A: Most work-place drug screens and tests target delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and do not detect the presence of Cannabidiols or other legal natural hemp based constituents. However, studies have shown that eating hemp foods and oils can cause confirmed positive results when screening urine and blood specimens. Accordingly, if you are subject to any form of drug testing or screening, we recommend (as does the United States Armed Services) that you DO-NOT ingest this product. Prior to consuming these products consult with your healthcare practitioner, drug screening/testing company or employer.
13) Q: Do we use PEG (polyethylene glycol) in our formulations?
A: We use tocofersolan (TPGS, tocopherol polyethylene glycol succinate-1000) in our formulation for stabilizing the lipid membranes. Tocofersolan is a synthetic water-soluble version of vitamin E that is an amphiphile – meaning it has both water soluble and fat-soluble sections, making it useful as an emulsifier. To be clear, polyethylene glycol it is NOT ethylene glycol, as in antifreeze, and is NOT a plastic.
Tocofersolan has a record of safety based on decades of use in animals and humans and on reported toxicology studies. Studies in humans included dosing of children with digestive malabsorption (i.e. cholestasis) at 40-50 times higher concentrations than that in our Nanoemulsified Hemp Oil for over two years with no adverse events. To achieve this safety level, the absolute highest grades of ingredients were needed in order to avoid the contaminants that make common polysorbates questionable for extended dosing. These high grades of raw materials make tocofersolan ~10X the cost of polysorbates and other commonly used emulsifiers. It is so clean, that it was give the safest rating for an additive by Environmental Working Group. It is safe for transportation, storage and handling. Tocofersolan has a self-affirmed GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) status when used as an oral dietary supplement of vitamin E.
